Otorhinolaryngology deals with EAR, Nose & Throat diseases but grown beyond its limits to involve head and neck, skull bone and facial plastic surgeries. ENT surgeries require high degree of precision as it deals with special senses like hearing, olfaction, taste and voice.
We teach the students about the detailed Anatomy & Physiology of Ear, Nose & Throat. ENT teaching for student pursuing medical education is very important because it involves life saving procedures like tracheotomy, foreign body removal, nasal packing. Advanced surgeries like Micro ear surgery, FESS, Micro laryngeal surgery etc.
A good knowledge of ENT is required for any doctor because any disease involving ENT will affect the quality of life of the patient.
